When I took my Golf into Yeomans for its annual MOT it turned out that it needed new shock absorbers before it could be passed. Tristan contacted VW and managed to ensure that the work would be done under warranty, which has saved me a considerable amount of money. He then went above and beyond in order to keep me posted on the work in progress during the time that the parts needed to be ordered and fitted. Maria on reception even gave me a very welcome lift back home, as I live in Wadebridge - several miles away. I felt very well informed and looked after by Tristan and Maria for the whole time that I had to do without my car. Terrific customer service from a VW garage I would highly recommend.

Following a car accident (not my fault!) that wrote my car off, I visited Yeomans VW Indian Queens, where Harry was absolutely amazing in going through all my options, making me feel at ease and not like I was a nuisance - he was calm, patient, professional, friendly and made me feel relaxed for the first time since the crash. And, although he could not find a car to suit my needs on this occasion (I was being very picky!) I would not hesitate to recommend him, he is an absolute credit to VW.

Owner of vw crafter , had drive shaft issue , booked it in with vw vans Exeter , was promptly met by technician Charlie , he said approx 3-4 hrs to complete work , after 2.5hrs he called saying all was completed, a great rapid service by Charlie and the workshop team , very impressed with the whole process . Extra to this Charlie and Ellie ( service advisor in vw vans ) learnt of my partners intention to buy a used car and advised us to look around the seat/ cupra dealer side of things , they passed us on to Brad in sales for Cupra cars who in turn sold us a lovely 2 yr old car , again very impressed with Brad and Sam in sales for taking us through the whole car buying process . Great place for VW service and repair

I recently had an urgent problem with my 2025 VW Transporter, and visited Yeomans VW Exeter on Saturday 17th January 2025. It was critically urgent as we were travelling to Europe on business, on the 26th January for two months. The workshop was completely booked out, but after meeting with CAROLINE BRADDON (our first saviour) and explaining the problem. She first checked the availability of the part, that may be required, (confirming they could source in time) then arranged for the technician CHARLIE LOWES (our second saviour) to pop out of the workshop and discuss the issue. CHARLIE LOWES, confirmed the workshop was full, but asked me to drop the vehicle off on Monday evening the 19th January. We left the vehicle, which CHARLIE LOWES, then test drove. He admitted the vehicle to the workshop Tuesday 20th January for a full inspection. CAROLINE BRADDON then called later on Tuesday 19th January to confirm the vehicle had been inspected, was ready for collection and fully fit to drive. On collection both CAROLINE BRADDON and CHARLIE LOWES, came over to hand over the vehicle and wish us luck on our two month business trip. There is so much more to this story, not least the fact that a different garage, had informed us, that our four month old 2025 VW Transporter, was unfit to drive and required urgent repairs. In addition, we were informed the part required was on back order and unobtainable, even when I requested this be expedited, given the urgency of our situation. The first garage was well aware of our deadline for travelling to Europe on the 26th January and that we needed the van for this. The vehicle had only gone into the garage for a routine check, (slight scraping noise on full lockIt was booked in on the 15th January 2025. We travel to Europe for two months each winter, buying stock for our business, for the coming seasons. We required our van to do this, we also stood to lose £10,000s of pounds, in cancellation costs for accommodation and venues booked throughout Europe. The stress of being told by the first garage that the van was unsafe to drive and that the part we required was unobtainable, led to many tearful nights from my wife. I had looked into flying and renting a van, but apart from the £1000s in rental cost, any companies I contacted, then refused to allow me to bring the vehicle back into the UK. CAROLINE BRADDON and CHARLIE LOWES, were amazing! They showed a great understanding of the urgency of the situation. They acted in a compassionate and professional manner, going way above the call of duty, in order to facilitate a successful outcome. Honestly I just can't praise them highly enough. We recently sold our Ford Kuga and purchased a brand-new 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan from Yeomans in Helston, and the experience was excellent. Piran Wilcox gave us a very fair deal on both buying the Tiguan and selling our old car, which we could have sold privately for a similar price. The full service history and condition of our Kuga were appreciated, and at no point did we feel pressured, everything was explained clearly so we could make our own decision in our own time. Brilliant place to buy a car, new or Secondhand

Whilst touring Cornwall in my VW T4 camper I suddenly developed a fault and lost power. I managed to identify the problem as being a faulty MAF Sensor. Unfortunately the part is no longer supplied by VW or TPS so I had to source a second hand part which I did. On trying to fit it myself I discovered that the part was fitted with anti tampering bolts and i didnt have the correct torx piece. I decided to try YeomansVW and spoke to 2 outstanding members of staff named George and Josh who went out of there way to improvise to remove the bolts and fit the new part. George in particular went the extra mile and was an absolute star and a credit to VW. Without his skill I would not have been able to continue my journey back to London. Thanks guys 5*

He confirmed they had the correct part in stock and kindly arranged for a technician to fit the bulb later the same day. The entire process, including topping up my coolant, took about 15 minutes and was handled efficiently. Staff were friendly and professional throughout, and I also appreciated that my (well-behaved) dog was welcomed in the waiting area. Recently visited Yeomans van Centre Exeter as I needed a new transporter for my electrical business. James looked after me and went through all the options and explained everything clearly, I placed an order with him for my new work van. What a contrast to Carrs! It’s an absolute pleasure to deal with Yeomans. Their staff and in particular Fiona and Caroline are friendly, keen to work with, and assist the customer. There is a happy welcoming atmosphere in the showroom and at the service desk which is literally chalk and cheese to Carrs. There seems to be plenty of staff and although busy they’re all ready to help or just say hi. The vehicle was done on time with no hassle, a biscuit for the dog, a mocha and I was on my way. Such a relief to walk out the door feeling like this. My wife might even come in one day- something she vowed never to do again at Carrs. Recently bought a Polo GTI from Yeoman's and I can't fault the experience. I contacted them through Auto Trader initially and was contacted not that long afterwards. I dealt with Michael B who ran through all the details of the car that he knew about then sent a video and pictures. He was happy for me to scrutinize the pictures and was honest about imperfections he had noticed. That being said, it was a 50k mile car so it was probably going to have imperfections here and there. We went through different payment options and we settled on financing rather than buying outright. Michael passed me on the Mike W who was equally as pleasant to deal with. Answering and finding out answers to all of my questions. We set a date for picking up and I was picked up from the station. Most form's were checked and signed remotely so it was a smooth transaction when arriving to the dealership. I found the level of customer service from the team at different processes were fantastic. It's made me have faith in buying from dealership rather than 2nd hand dealerships and possibly even private sales as you have a higher level of protection. Thank you all again! I had a fantastic 250+ mile trip home.

My Golf R had more electrical gremlins happening on Christmas Eve that resulted in all the warning lights coming on and car going into service mode! I called out VW assist on the 27th who got the car across to Yeomans. They had diagnosed the fault and repaired it within 24 hoursfrom an unsuspected drop offbetween xmas and new years. To make it even more complicated for them, I asked if they could also service it whilst it was there. Picked car up today having had it all sorted with no fuss or bother at all. Bravo!

Called here on a wet day whilst on holiday just for information about our potential next car, only intending to look at a couple of models we were approached by the young salesman Jordan who was willing to help even though I told him straight away that we weren't in the market to buy anything at that time and we lived three hundred and fifty miles away he didn't walk away and was more than happy to help out with any questions we had. He opened up a couple of the models we were interested in and even found us a couple of different trims to compare, in all we couldn't have been happier with the service that we got and would have been more than happy to have purchased a new car from Jordan.

The workshop is excellent. I have also never experienced such good service. While on holiday in our VW T6 campervan on Dartmoor, a bus knocked off our right-hand mirror. We rang the garage in Exceter. An employee immediately came 30 miles out onto Dartmoor to help us fix the mirror so that we could drive. The car was then repaired in the workshop the next day. To shorten the time, a member of staff drove us into the town centre, which we were able to see, and picked us up again once the repair was complete. Anyone who needs help is in very good hands at the workshop. The staff are also uncomplicated and flexible and really take care of the customer's problem. You feel very well looked after

Excellent customer service and having dealt with them before from my previous experience it would have been of just as good . I loved what was being sold . I admit i was slow in making a final decision, one the journey i have to make a sea crossing and the distance i had to travel but i would of made it and decision making . I had existing hp on my trade in and would of required hp again so the deal was complicated . I asked if there was a minimum amount that VW lend as i heard differing stories which i could never clarify. i never got an answer. I wanted to pay the minimum .I offered to increase my financial input twice and asked how much difference that would make , but did not get an answer either . Mike i was not going to make a final decision unless i could afford it , whats the point . As i guess as i heard no more,you were no longer interested in dealing with me , thats your provocative. My £250 deposit although never seeing or driving the vehicle you can keep for all the work you had to do . As a customer still a pleasure to deal with you but feel let down that i did not get a reply on the VW finance or whether my injection of extra cash in which i increased to double the original amount had made a difference, but no answer? or whether VW have a minimum about you have to borrow? I hope you managed to sell the Golf and your sales event went well at Yeoman’s and i eventually find what i am looking for , the finance information and a Golf R line Kind Regards Mike I have a feeling we have not left on good terms which is a pity Chris

Ordered my new Golf r-line a few months back and collected it today. Joe was our salesman. He was great! Made the whole daunting experience on deciding what new vehicle to get relaxing and enjoyable. On collecting vehicle we were welcomed with a warm greeting and a hot latte. Handover was smooth and easy and we drove off into the distance with our shiny new car satisfied customers.

All round 5 Star Service I had to call VW Assist (I had bought a 2 year extended VW warranty package). They promptly attended; my van was on the drive with warning lights being displayed on the dash and a loss of power. After the technician had done as much as he could, he advised me that it would be best to have the vehicle recovered. This was also done in a timely fashion, being kept informed of arrival time and a loan vehicle provided. My van was taken to Yeomen’s VW van centre Exeter, Caroline from Yeoman’s confirmed receipt of the van and advised me it would be looked at as soon as possible. In just over a day or so, Caroline contacted me again to advise me the van had been looked at and would require new parts which had been ordered. 2 working days later Caroline contacted me to say it was ready for collection. I know that most, if not all VW commercial dealers are very busy and to have my vehicle returned to me in such a relatively short period of time well exceeded my expectations. I was given regular updates (which I liked) and excellent customer service. Thank you, a very happy customer.

I was surprised to receive a call before 10 the next morning saying it was finished and ready for collection. When we collected the van we used our spare key to check it. There where a few items I deliberately did not tell the service team. We were please to see all ltems had been attended to. They also cleaned the van to a very good standard My only comment would be, I would like to see the front meet and greet desk manned.

Somebody decided they wanted my T6 offside mirror while it was parked up in Charlestown overnight. Heading to Spain in a couple days it was obviously vital to replace it. Called Carrs, yep in stock bring it over. Did that picked up spare from stores then Mr super nice, efficient unassuming mechanic fitted it for me in minutes with no charge. Excellent Service Delivery isOnly as good as the staff. Informative, regular updates and proactive, is how I’d describe Tristan Dodson, who went thatextra miletoday. Our car has been erratic, the adaptive cruise control along with the sign recognition / navigation system seamed to have a mind of its own. Tristan took ownership to establish the root cause of the issue, resolved and ensured all of the updates we’ve not received for the past 20 months were uploaded and applied. Our first encounter of Tristan, very helpful, welcoming, great customer attitude, naturally supported by the mechanics and technicians, the unseen heroes behind the scenes.

Booked in for an Interim Service. Van also had a recall for Bowden cables which I was originally advised would have to be booked in separately. I was greeted by Phil and after I explained I lived an hour and a half away from the garage he said he would try and get the cable looked at today during the service. He advised it would take 3 to 4 hours but after I explained I had an appointment back home the van was ready in 2 and a half hours and the cable replaced! Phil was very helpful and explained everything. Both times I have been to Carrs they have exceeded my expectations. Well done and thank you.

Had a full service and a couple of issues fixed on my Transporter yesterday. The wonderful lady on the service desk was absolutely fantastic, as we're all of the other members of the team. Just picked up my new Golf from Helston Garages at Helston and I’m delighted. Piran the salesman has been excellent. I ordered the car in June last year and he has kept me informed throughout. Over the last couple of weeks, once the car arrived at the garage, he updated me regularly and explained what I needed to do and what was happening at the garage. The collection of the car yesterday was very smooth and it felt special. On arrival the car was covered in a blue VW sheet and a personalised sign was beside it, a nice touch. Piran explained everything in great detail, assisted by Tom from the Service department who was so helpful, explaining the service contract I had purchased and sorting out the VW app on my phone and linking it to the car. These two members of staff obviously know what excellent customer service is, and they are a credit to the company. Many thanks

My experience with carrs (indian queens) was very professional and friendly service. I had a warranty replacement part done to the clutch etc and I had the pleasure of meeting hayley in the service department, she was very professional and looked after me going through the whole warranty process as a third party. I bought my first VW Polo from the Helston Volkswagen Garage last Saturday 13th March. From start to finish NIck Perry and Piran who I originally saw due to Nick and Piran sharing the work week at the mo were friendly welcoming and reassuring. After my van, from Exeter diesels, broke down for the 10th time I went to Carrs to try and get a replacement van. After the woeful service from Exeter diesels I was very weary of dealerships. Being a busy plumbing and heating engineer I needed a van quick. Max from Carrs commercial VW came to my rescue. In less than a week I had the perfect nearly new van I had always wanted. Even with all the current restrictions the service I received was second to none and was made simple, stress free. Max’s attention to detail was excellent, every little detail I brought up he already covered. I got the trade in price I needed on my old van and I picked up the new one all in less than a week. I ordered new seat covers and mats for the van, but due to an unforeseeable delay they didn’t arrive in time for when I picked up the van. The next day Max came to my house in the evening and fitted the covers and mats in his own time. I really cannot recommend Carrs and Max enough. A friendly, professional dealership. Thanks again.

Recently purchased a 2015 Golf R in the perfect Oryx White. Right from the first visit we were well looked after, tea and coffee offered straight away whilst we waited for our appointment with Piran. He immediately made us feel at ease and after a lengthy test drive I knew that car was perfect for me. Piran ran through everything we needed to know and hands were shaken the same day. I had a issue with poor mpg on my van that was reported to them nearly 2 years ago (vans a 17plate t6 6speed 150) problem was over looked and always had a excuse, got to the point where I gave up with them knowing full well what the problem was (dodgy injectors) and had to look to replacing them my self as I had already paid to do a leak off test and pressure test of the cylinders elsewhere, I also have had battery issues, again go on t6 owners page on Facebook and this is a well known problem with defect battery’s, took them 2 weeks back in 2018 toInvestigateand swap it over. My clutch died at 30k miles and took the duel mass with it again they didn’t want to know and I took it down to Plymouth where they were very helpful. Then my faith in Exeter vans was restored when I got a call from Peter the after sales manager who was very embarrassed about the whole situation and couldn’t do enough to help me. He really did make me feel like he cared which isn’t much but after that amount of problems and getting turned away so many times it was a massive welcome and I can’t recommend him enough. My Vans is doing nearly 20mpg better now and drives so much nicer, I still have a gearbox issue with it shuddering but this is something they have said they will investigate further as I feel it could just be a defected DMF. Overall happy with how I was finally taken care of past dealings and some staff were enough to put me off but I will be going back again now and at some point getting another transporter

Faultless experience from start to finish. I emailed Tommy in need of a car and within the hour I'd received details on three different vehicles including a personal video tour of one. 2 hours later, I'd test driven and bought the car. I came away with a great deal and there wasn't one moment where I felt pressured into a decision. Nothing was too much trouble and Tommy seemed genuinely happy to help in whatever way he could. Even after I bought the car, I was still receiving ample information and on the day of collection the car had a full tank of fuel! I have a t6 transporter that needed an issue looked at under warranty. Once I had been introduced to the correct staff member, I explained my problem and was immediately dealt with in a very friendly and professional manner. It wasn't an urgent job so we arranged a book in time. They gave me a timescale of the job, and an estimated time to undertake the job. Once there I asked about another little niggle I've been having, again nothing major. Within the day, I was called to say my t6 was ready! I picked up my pride and joy and they said the next job needed a little more time, which I am very happy about as only asked them on the day about it. I've now been booked in for my other little job to be done! On driving my bus, I noticed an immediate difference in the drivabilityI'm very pleased with whats been done so far. I drove 360 miles to Cornwall, and the EML like pinged on around 100 miles away. It was Sunday so called Carr’s on the Monday morning. They were polite and efficient, with me booked in for the next day at 0830. I arrived and Tom the service manager welcomed me in, took the details and got on the case. Within an hour Tom called, informed me of the issue and sorted it under warranty. I turned up for collection with my T6 cleaned and parked ready to go. Holiday saved!! What a great bunch! Thank you.

OMG! A main dealer who's workshop and parts dept actually helped without demanding to first plug in my car and charging me £70! Free yes free use of their wheel lock nut set got me out of a real jam and the cost of VW oil cheaper than ANYWHERE. A socket got stuck on a nut and a tech whipped it out without having to check with a computer or book the job in next week. THANKS GUYS XXX

Service Dept came to our rescue! Our Passat decided to spring a water pump leak at the most inconvenient time of the month. We have an autisitc daughter who relies on the car greatly, from getting to school to attending regular appointments. She is also very sensitive to change, so it was in her interest we got the car fixed quick. On Monday morning I called Mark at Helston garages and explained the situation. He was polite, honest and sympathetic to our situation. Mark, got the car booked in and started the job that afternoon. By the following day it was done. A complete complementry health check was done (free of charge) and the car of was washed ready for collection. Fantastic people who know the cars inside out. For very little morethan an independant garage you get so much more. Going to this dealership is value for money. To put things in perspective, we live next door to a perfectely good Garage. But, Helston Garages offer the service and skill that makes the 1hr 20 round trip worth the drive despite having a disabled child. Keep up the good work guys, you're all fantastic!
