I would like give 5 stars to Edward Hills because he does know how to respond according to customers' needs. Once I called the branch, he sent me a video showing me the car in details. Also, he was so patient in answering all my questions and tried his best to make sure the car will be handed to me in the perfect condition and got me a very good deal as well. Due to some hiccups, I cannot go ahead buying the car. But surely, next time I will come back all the way from London to buy a car from him. Thanks Edward.

We have just bought a brand new Nissan Qashqai E-Power from Barnard & Brough and could not be more pleased with it. We first approached this Nissan dealership a few months ago when we met Craig, one of the salespeople, to discuss the possibility of us buying their demonstrator when it became available. But the deal which Craig offered us for a new model was so good that it made sense to buy new. The discount was very good. The offer for our car in part exchange was more than we expected. But most impessive was that Craig understood exactly what we found important and what we were willing to pay, and was honest and helpful throughout the whole process. No pressure, just very helpful guidance.

Sometimes a good business is judged on how well they look after you once the deal is done. I drove 80 miles to by a £10k Qashqai, believing that main dealers don’t sell older cars unless they are of a high standard. Well, not disappointed. Though a few marks on the bodywork the wrap around warranty, pre handover service and even extra fuel was the deciding factor. Then, on collection, a faulty seat tensioner meant I’d already left my niece for a pre booked evening out and she got delayed until 6.30. (I left at 5.15). They sorted what they could and will collect, leave a courtesy car, and repair it next week. A £10,250, 6 year old, 70k miles car, sold by them, full main dealer service stamps and one owner who exchanged for another. I’d tracked the non main dealers and it’s really scary, some really crap, ex auction, cars with wild promises. What’s not to like about this dealer and the help of Edwards Hills and the team. I’d purchased a Qashqai from Yeomans Basingstoke last July and following recommendations, that’s 4 Qasqai’s bought from Yeomans in the past 12 months from friends and family.

If I could give more stars I would .I have just taken delivery of my new Nissan Juke. Craig was professional, helpful and sensitive to my situation as I had to change my car because of a change in personal circumstances. I never felt obligated or pressured to make a decision and I was treated with respect and care .Everything was explained to me perfectly . I am a great believer that "people sell" and if you find someone who you trust then the rest will follow . Thank you so much Craig I will not hesitate to come back when I change my car and I will not hesitate to recommend you !

Excellent customer service from Sam we collected our new car today and we couldn’t be happier. We were shown how everything works and felt confident that we know how to work all the latest technology that our Nissan Juke has. The best Nissan showroom around they are very thorough and you get a free soft drink or coffee while you wait.

Judy and I went to look at the new Quashqai as part of our plan to change our Volvo. We have had cars from this dealer in the past, many years before Yeomans took over, but the manager greeted us like old friends. We intended to do the rounds of the major brands in our search for a new car but when Salesman Craig patiently went through the details of the hybrid e-Power we were sold on it right away. We didn't want a plug-in and the e-Power could have been designed for us! I have to admit, the well publicised drive by Nissan from John O'Groats to Lands End, well over 700 miles, on one tank of petrol, helped us decide but Craig took his time to make sure we knew exactly what the e-Power could offer us. We signed up immediately, cancelled all the other visits, paid our deposit and Craig delivered the new car in just a few days. We have now been driving it for about ten days and we love it. The very comfortable seats that hold you in place, infinitely adjustable for the driver; the variety of petrol and/or battery driving options that the car offers; the way the car feels on the road - it rides the bumps very softly; the quietness of the drive is also surpising. It has plenty of room for four adults and a large boot that will easily take our daughter's spaniels when we are on support duties. Craig explained how the servicing package works and we signed up for three years as we know it will be in good hands in the service bay. It's a car off the production line but it really feels bespoke. Thanks for being so patient with us Craig.

This dealer was a distance from my home but had the car I wanted. I contacted them and got a rapid reply. I laid out that it had to be good, I didn't like being messed around and there was no point trying to sell me all the gimmicks. Craig came back to me quickly, took a video of the vehicle for me to decide myself if to view; I didn't have to ask, which was good. I went to the dealer, was allowed a good length test drive, not put under pressure, no effort to sell me a load of things that I didn't want. We reached a reasonable deal and I purchased the car. Handover was professionally handled by Craig, very little for me to do paperwork wise, car was presented to me nicely valeted. In summary, thanks Craig for the service and I appreciate it being made straightforward, which is exactly as I like it. I would recommend this dealer.

I recently made an enquiry through Craig about the benefits and costs of PCP finance compared with leasing. He willingly provided PCP figures to compare with those I had for leasing and we completed the order on the same day. Since then he has always been readily available to answer any queries, patiently and professionally. While writing I would also like to mention the excellent customer service I received when my ‘old’ car had its final MOT and Service. The team couldn’t have been more attentive during my visits and nothing was too much trouble.

Always a challenge I think when dealing with a couple, but Sam served us very well, at all stages in hearing our preferences, suggesting options, and helping us to choose our favoured car. The whole process from selection to collection was a good experience. Giving us confidence to return and be welcomed should we tire of reading the manual (s). The endless coffees were good too. We first visited to book a service for our Juke 2 weeks ago first time we had visited as the dealer we had used near our home has now closed. Very polite helpful staff all booked in for 18th August. Went today for our service again excellent service all done to our satisfaction plus we purchased the spare wheel kit which was in stock and fitted for us & we were helped to install the Nissan app on phone. I've just driven away from B&B at Wivelsfield Green with my new (to me) Nissan Juke and am very happy with my purchase. A huge thank you to the very helpful, attentive & charming Sam Beales for his service. He was great from the first conversation to the handover, and made the process as easy and convenient as he could. It felt as though nothing was too much trouble, and he went the extra mile by offering to stay late to do the handover. We had lots of patient, helpful advice from the 2 Motability specialists. In the end we decided to buy 2nd hand outright instead. Craig was really great and talked us through everything. It was very unpressured and he was very flexible about test driving the car more than once and on which of the available add-on packages we wanted. We wanted a specific model that wasn't available on the groups used-car list, but he quickly sourced one from elsewhere and we had it within the week. Very helpful service to fix an odd problem with an old car! My 2010 X-Trail developed a problem with the radio. It wouldn’t work but was still killing my battery! A local garage said they had seen the issue only once before (but in a Volvo!). A new radio would have cost silly money, so I bought a used one from a dismantlers on eBay. I knew it would need to be “coded” and a car audio specialist said it would need to have a code assigned by a Nissan main dealership. I contacted Barnard & Brough and spoke to Dan Broom. He explained that the code would need to be obtained from Japan, and the team would need to apply it with the car in the garage. Dan said that there was a chance it wouldn’t work! I brought the car in, and the job was done that day, with the replacement radio fitted and working perfectly. A very good job, and Dan Broom was especially helpful.

My wife spotted a Qashqai on Barnard & Brough’s forecourt 4 weeks ago and after the most enjoyable test drive with Craig MacDonald and professional negotiations, we bought it. From then on, we have the highest praise for him and every individual we encountered during the process, plus subsequently when we returned to have a private registration plate fitted. He was very easy to get along with and explained everything clearly without using any baffling jargon. We recently purchased a 24 plate Juke. We worked with Craig, he was professional, customer focused throughout. Craig found us our perfect Juke and worked hard to get us in the car ASAP. I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service I received here. As soon as I went to the desk, I was allocated a point of contact (Dan) who kept me informed every step of the way whilst they did my radio update. He was extremely professional and helpful as well as giving me advice after the free service check they had conducted . As I was waiting whilst they did the work, I was given the choice of hot and cold beverages and was given the WiFi code. It felt like I had brought in a luxury car as opposed to my old Nissan! Lee is an excellent salesman, unfortunately his paperwork let him down… When we went to collect the car it wasn’t ready, several piece of paperwork were incorrect and he didn’t have the appropriate V5 to register the car to us.we had a toddler in tow and a 2 hour wait wasn’t easy. We eventually got the car 4 days later. We were given a car on loan and when everything was in order we reasonably happy with the service.

Popped into Bernard and Brough on a whim one afternoon to consider a new car at the end of my finance agreement. I met the salesman Craig, who was very polite and listened to exactly what I was looking for. Although they didn't have what I was looking for on the forecourt they were able to find exactly what it was I was looking for. Even though they closed at 6, Craig had no problems staying late to finish the deal, all with a smile. He then stayed in regular contact with updates about my new vehicle and even once collected checked in to see how it was going. I recently took a PCP finances lease on a Nissan Juke with this garage and I can’t recommend them enough! Myself and my dad had the pleasure of meeting Lee Appleby who guided us and supported us through the whole process. I had unfortunately had a previous bad experience at a different car garage (not Nissan) and wasn’t overly confident in taking out another finance lease, however Lee restore my confidence completely. From the moment I got in contact to enquire about what second hand cars they had in stock, I felt that Lee went above and beyond to help find the correct car for us. There was no pressure at any point and Lee (which I had experienced perviously from the other car garage) and he very much understood our personal situation and helped us to find the best deal for us. Not only did Lee look in every option and explain them all to us, he showed us different models of the car’s; and also made contact with partnership dealers to see if they had any car’s at their site which matched what we were looking for. All the staff at Haywards Heath were extremely friendly and helpful, even when I had a question if Lee wasn’t able to come to the phone another member of the staff helped answer as best as they can but Lee always came back to emails and phone calls. We were always offered hot or cold drinks every time, even when we were just popping in to drop off paper work and made to feel like we were a really valued customer, despite how busy they were. What I love the most is Lee called about 2-3 days after collecting the car to check in everything was ok and asking how I was finding it. It really made us feel valued as a customer. Overall I would recommend visiting and using this Nissan garage if you are looking for a very good quality car and wonderful customer service! He spent the whole afternoon explaining every detail of the car, the insurance, the service, the finance etc. EVERYTHING! Very patient throughout! 2. There were some issues with charger installation, again, he quickly contacted multiple people, went through options and found a solution for us 3. We now have issues with energy tariff, again, he is actively thinking about what can help us. Knowing Craig is there is reassuring. He is very knowledgeable and professional. A massive thank you to Lee who helped me and my fiancé through what could have easily been a painful experience of getting our first car. After being forced out of our lease from another company with short notice we were left with the potential of not having a car. After some research we decided to try out the Nissan Qashqai epower. We found that this dealership had one and requested a test drive without thinking we would go with them. After arriving though, Lee was really friendly and informative, taking us through all the options and how the costs would break down. Not only that but he took us through the car answering all our questions and allowed us to take it for a spin in a test drive, again showing us all its feature whilst being behind the wheel. We were sold but he still took the time to make sure we were fully informed about all our options and was not pushy or steering us towards a certain option. In total we spent about 2 hours with Lee and we never felt rushed or just another customer. He went above and beyond and we signed up to a PCP agreement. He continued to go above and beyond when I went to pick up the car by having it in the showroom itself (which you can see in the picture) and taking personal care to make sure it was in its best possible condition. Overall he made what could have been an awful and stressful position it to quite an enjoyable one and although I have only had the car for a few days when writing this review, I am loving it and I feel it matches everything i was sold. Lee is the Best salesman I've dealt with, made the sale and purchase easy. Just one criticism, when your spending a large sum on a vehicle, it should be immaculate, there was marks on the car I feel should have been polished out. I did it with some t cut. We bought a Nissan Qashqai here in 2020 and while we love the car; it had a number of problems (Air Con Unit, Battery, Tyre), the garage dealt with all of these really promptly. That said the (second) battery continued to cause us problems until late 2022 when we eventually had it replaced by an RAC supplied one (and have since had no issues) - during this period we had some challenges with the Garage. These were resolved by the new team who started (sometime last year) who have been very helpful and friendly. Additionally we took up a service plan with Barnard and Brough which we feel is good value. Up until last year we received no communications or reminders on this service plan which was frustrating as we did continue to receive marketing (just not useful info). However under the new ownership this year we have received all our reminders in plenty of time and the amount of marketing has (subjectively) decreased. Overall we generally find that the staff are really helpful and friendly and are generally happy with the service. Recently they have had a renovation which makes the whole place feel really modern.

Getting a brand new car should not be difficult but why are some dealership sales consultants so difficult to deal with? After visiting a number of dealerships in Sussex to view and discuss my new car I was often put off by the indifferent and sometimes uninterested attitudes I encountered from sales consultants. I thought I had found the car I needed and the sales consultant there was excellent but unfortunately the specification I needed was not available so the hunt continued! On the way home from Haywards Heath I suddenly remembered a Nissan garage en route so popped in to have look. It was called Barnard & Brough! After a quick look at the Nissan Qashqai I decided I needed to check the Tekna model out in more detail online. Online I found it had almost all the main specifications, and more, that I needed. Within a few days an appointment was made for me at Barnard & Brough to view a Tekna and have a test drive. This was when I properly met a Sales Consultant named Neil. He was absolutely brilliant and professional! Unlike some of the other dealerships I had previously visited, there was no pressure to buy, no hard sell, no rush, no mumbling comments about the car, all my questions were answered honestly and even clarified when I was unsure. It was pleasing to learn the expected delivery date would be in a few months rather than in several months or ever a year's time because of the current worldwide manufacturing issues. Yes, I ordered a Tekna with the specification I needed in my chosen colour and afterwards Neil continued to answer any queries I had via email until it arrived as scheduled. Neil was excellent, he completed all the paperwork from start to end and made the whole process stress-free and trouble-free for me! For this I say a huge "thank you" to him for his time and patience! That's what customer service is about and Barnard & Brough seem to excelled at it!

Everybody in the dealership is friendly and efficient but the service offered by George in particular deserves to be highlighted as it was outstanding. He gave reliable advice throughout, resolved a number of issues for us and kept us informed every step of the way from order to delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barnard and Brough: for customer service, organisation and attention to detail they are second to none.

Recently purchased a new car from Nissan. I had the pleasure of dealing with James and George. Both very professional and lovely to deal with. After visiting the showroom on a Saturday, I returned on the Wednesday to buy the car I liked. The car was ready the next week, after being given the once over. I received a aftersale call a few days later. Overall fantastic service. 😀

We can’t praise this dealership highly enough, they have been excellent from start to finish. We don’t live locally and found the perfect car that meet our exact wish list on their website. It was a leap of faith buying a car that was over 100 miles away but James Poplett our salesman gave us reassurance all the way. Nothing was too much trouble and if we had a question regarding something specific about the vehicle James would made a video explaining and highlighting certain things and email it to us. We feel he was entirely honest by pointing out things we wouldn’t of necessarily known as well as very fair and friendly. I was lucky enough to buy my Juke from James at his previous firm, so to find out he was working at Barnard and Brough I knew I had to go back to see him again when I needed to upgrade. He was thorough, honest and extremely helpful when advising me on new vehicles. He sent regular updates on when the car was being transported, when it arrived and when I was likely to be able to collect. I cannot recommend James and the team enough. I have to say you guys are outstanding!!! I turned up at 15:30 hours on a Tuesday afternoon (06/10/2020), unannounced and 70 miles from home with a Nissan Navara stuck in 4 wheel drive low ratio. I opted to take a chance on the 6 mile drive from the site where I was working, at 30mph, having been told by my own local Nissan dealer that I required a full recovery! I spoke to the very helpful young lady at the service reception and explained my predicament. She told me that they were no longer a commercial dealership but she would see if someone could help me. Within minutes and with absolutely no drama or fuss a very nice, helpful and cheerful technician (with a pony tail and glasses - so sorry I didn’t get your name!) jumped in the truck with his laptop. After less than 20 mins on the laptop and shunting the truck around the car park the truck went back into 2 wheel drive! This allowed me to get on my way home with minimal disruption or inconvenience and at no cost to me which I’m sure would not have been the case if I’d needed full recovery 70 miles home to my local dealer! Barnard and Brough you should be very proud indeed of your staff, what a credit they are to you especially your technician! Customer service like that is few and far between these days, I can’t thank you enough!!

Great customer service. We went there looking for a second hand car and left with a nearly brand new car and amazing customer service. Justin and James have been kind enough to answer every single questions about every single step of the purchase process. Apart from getting a great deal, they have been patient, professional and fun to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

Nice garage, I recently had my Nissan X-Trail fully serviced and some major extra work done and I'm very happy with the whole process and results. I ordered a courtesy car for the duration and got a brand new X-Trail on loan, very nice. I was pleased with all of the information given throughout and all of the updates I was provided by phone and email. After the initial assessment, the garage send you a courtesy video of the car so you can see exactly what problems have been found and a dashboard of all the proposed work to be done, here you can approve or deny all of the work as required. The service team are friendly, courteous and happy to assist, providing a walk through of all the documentation and work completed. I'm very pleased overall and I will use them again for my MOT and service of my Nissan car.

Barnard & Brough offer a standard of service that puts the larger dealers to shame. Polite, efficient, fair and overwhelmingly helpful, they have restored my faith in franchised garages. I now opt to travel 25 miles to have my truck serviced here rather than use the larger dealer close to home, as I know work will be completed promptly, with a minimum of fuss and above all I can trust their advice. I am a Motability customer and have visited many dealerships whilst trying to decide on a car. I cannot rate this dealership highly enough. I wasn’t 100% sure exactly what I wanted or needed. Philip listened to everything I needed and made a recommendation based on what would suit me best, be the most economical and practical. Nothing was too much trouble, he kept in touch Every step of the way. I was never rushed and made to feel important. He spent ages showing me the features of the car when I collected it. If you are looking for an honest down to earth dealership who will listen and look after you this is definitely the one.

Barnard & Brough Nissan are quite a distance from Brighton, but judging by my experience, it is definitely worth the journey. Both the engineer I spoke to on arrival and Simone in Reception were very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful and Simone really went the extra mile to help with the logistics of my return to Brighton. I checked out a number of Nissan dealers before choosing this one. it's not the nearest to home but it had the best sales and, critically, after-sales ratings. I haven't needed the second yet but seeing how the sales and service arms are integrated physically in the open plan building and feeling the ethos of customer service that pervades the place, I don't think I need be concerned. I brought home my Nissan Leaf Teckna yesterday; I'd had a test drive a while ago so, on past experience of car sales, I was expecting to be let loose on the road once the paperwork was done. But no - I was given what I have to describe as an induction course, recognising how unfamiliar the driving environment might be and introducing me to the essentials. We drove again; there was time for questions, it was thorough, tailored to me, jargon-free, enabling, marvellous. Grant is superb, easy to listen to and also a listener. Plus he sends little videos of the car's journey through the delivery system - a bit like getting ultrasound scans but without the gas and air at the end! Perfect.

Our extensive car shopping stopped when talking to Grant at Barnard and Brough, having visited several dealers and 2 of Nissan. We appreciated his extensive knowledge on specs and features of our newly purchased car. He went smilingly the extra mile to support us on the whole purchase process. Exceptional service from the moment I first made phone contact with Gary, to completion of the deal with Karim. After several bad experiences with other dealers, B&B completely restored my faith. Polite, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, supportive and so helpful. Made the whole process easy and stress free. Expert knowledge, and went out of their way to help with a difficult situation I was in, involving a bodyshop. Could have taken advantage, but actually gave me invaluable advice and helped me to resolve. As a woman on my own, with limited knowledge of cars, I always feel a bit vulnerable with dealers, but B&B were fantastic and put me completely at ease - professional, honest and not patronising in any way. Spoke with another salesman there too, and he was just as patient and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

In our trade we have to use main agents on a regular occurrence and with varying degrees of satisfaction. I can hand on heart say these guys are by far the best I have dealt with. They're efficient, knowledgable and fair. They tend to go above and beyond the call of duty and it really shows that they're still independently owned as they value their customers. They really do put the larger plc groups to shame!
