The Nissan Qashqai with e-POWER has been honoured as best-in-class by The Sun, The Sunday Times, and driving.co.uk at the 2024 News UK Motor Awards, thanks to its unique and innovative electrified powertrain. This accolade is a well-earned achievement for Nissan and the British-built Qashqai, capping off a standout year for the popular crossover. It has maintained a high profile throughout 2024, driven by a major update and its involvement in an award-winning marketing campaign.

The turbocharged three-cylinder engine's sole function is to generate electricity, which is directed through an inverter to either the 140kW electric motor, the 1.8kWh battery, or both, depending on the driving conditions. Operating quietly in the background, the engine provides power in sync with the vehicle’s speed, ensuring there’s no mismatch between the engine sound and the car’s performance.
