Nissan has extended its long-term partnership with the UK's leading charging point mapping service, Zapmap, to continue the straightforward and hassle-free EV charging point locator for customers. This partnership will mean customers of new Nissan electric vehicles will have access to a free Zapmap Premium subscription, which includes in-car support via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Customers who purchased a LEAF or ARIYA through private, business, and Motability will benefit from a three-year premium subscription from the date of the vehicle's registration.
“I’m very happy to confirm Zapmap’s continuing partnership with Nissan. With drivers increasingly making the switch to electric, our focus is on making charging simple, and that’s exactly what this partnership helps to achieve."
- Alex Earl, Commercial Director at Zapmap
Zapmap has been delivering a detailed map and dataset of electric vehicle charging points in the UK for nearly a decade. Zapmap is available on the app and desktop and shows customers 95% of public charging points, including live status information for over 70% of public charging points. With the recent expansion into mapping charging points in mainland Europe, customers will now be able to search and filter charging points in France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Premium members get more benefits than core members. Core members are able to search, plan, and pay for EV charging, whereas Premium allows customers unlimited filters and route plans while using the app, as well as access to Zapmap within the in-car dashboard via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This means customers can find charging points quickly with live charging point data and a link to navigation for directions. Customers of any Nissan eletice, including the Townstar Electric Van, can benefits from this offer until 31 December 2024.
