In honour of the Nissan Micra 350 SR 23rd Birthday - its ‘Nis-San’ anniversary - it has been given a ‘restomod’ refresh with modern components including, but not limited to, Apple CarPlay.
Nissan had commissioned the original Micra 350SR, over twenty years ago, in recognition of the model’s involvement with Japanese motorsport. The number '23' is special to Nissan because the brand's name sounds like the Japanese pronunciation of '2' (ni) and '3' (san), making the 23rd Birthday an important occasion for Nissan to commemorate.
Over the past couple of decades, the car has been displayed at Nissan events and even loaned to journalists. The Micra 350SR is powered by the 3.5-litre block from a Murano with headers from a 350Z, NISMO high-lift cams and induction, plus a modified ECU, taking power from 265hp to around 300hp, and with only 1200kg to propel.
To assist with the refresh of the Micra 350SR, the Nissan Design Europe in Paddington, London has stepped in to help.
The new design has a satin ‘liquid silver’ base with blue highlights. The grille and lower parts have a finished gloss black along with the original 18-inch RAYS 350Z alloys. They have also updated the LED headlights, for a brighter view of the road, with semi-circular daytime running lights.
The interior has also been updated for the 23rd Birthday refresh. There are new seats, harnesses, in addition to a 9inch touchscreen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for your comfort needs.
The updated Micra 350SR made its debut on the 15th May 2025, taking the stage and joining Nissan’s heritage.
