The iconic Fiat 500C is the height of chic Italian style, and looks fabulous whether the electric soft-top is lowered or in place. Fiat have brought the 500 right up to date, without moving too far away from the classic design of the Cinquecento.
With 16 body colours to choose from, a range of second skins and 13 interior designs you can really make the Fiat 500C your own. Stylish colour options include Epic Blue, Smooth Mint, Passodoble Red and Glam Coral. There are several editions in the 500C range: Pop, Popstar, Lounge, Sport, Riva and Mirror. Electrically adjustable heated door mirrors are provided across the range, with stylish satin graphite covers added on the Sport edition, and chrome covers on the Riva and Mirror trims. All editions from the Popstar and up are fitted with alloy wheels. When the hood is lowered the B pillars and rear windows remain in position, so the 500C retains its distinctive profile while allowing you to enjoy that summery feeling. For your convenience, the soft top can be lowered or raised while driving, provided you are travelling below 37mph.
The Italian styling continues inside, with a glossy body-coloured dashboard and retro trims and surrounds for the controls and ventilation. Special vintage styling in the Riva edition includes finishes such as mahogany inserts on the leather steering wheel and a wooden gear knob. Vintage-style upholstery completes the 50s look.
The cabin’s appearance may take you back in time, but the equipment inside is right up to date. Air conditioning is fitted on all models, and memory front seats help you to travel in comfort. Manoeuvring in tight spaces is easier thanks to Fiat’s Dualdrive power steering.
Engines available in the Fiat 500C range include a 1.2-litre petrol and a 0.9-litre TwinAir engine with a choice of bhp outputs. A 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine is also available for some models. The diesel option gives you the best fuel efficiency, with up to 83mpg and has CO2 emissions of 89g/km, while the 0.9-litre TwinAir 85hp is not far behind at 74mpg and 90g/km CO2 emissions.
Pop and Popstar editions have radio with USB, AUX-in and audio controls on the steering wheel. An upgrade to the Lounge edition gets you a DAB radio with five-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth. The Sport, Riva and Mirror trims all have the added benefit of a seven-inch touchscreen radio and a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster.
Safety features fitted as standard on the 500C include ESP, hill holder, and tyre pressure monitoring. Cruise control and speed limiter functionality are also provided across the range.
