Description

At Yeomans Volkswagen Helston, we're looking for a skilled full time Workshop Technician to join our successful aftersales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, busy workshop equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, specialist tools and equipment, enabling you to deliver exceptional levels of service and repair quality for our customers.

Key duties:

  • Conduct full examinations, repairs and maintenance of vehicles in line with manufacturers guidelines
  • Work closely with the service team and ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and they are fully briefed on work completed
  • Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requested
  • Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all workshop customers personifying the brand
  • Build and maintain a high level of technical competence
  • Be open to try new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
Requirements
  • Level 3 Motor mechanics
  • MOT test licence preferred
  • Possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers accurately and concisely
  • Passionate about the industry, and committed to the development of your technical knowledge and skills
  • Customer focused, able to keep customers experience and safety in mind throughout their visit
  • Team Player that can assist other technicians when the workshop is under pressure
  • Can take ownership of any safety issues you identify in the workshop
  • Thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines
  • Quality focused
  • Honest with high levels of integrity
