The whole body of the Crafter Luton has been designed to the latest European design standards, with a rear footstep fitted as standard and an optional tail lift. The bolted rear frame has been dip painted and powder coated to resist corrosion, whilst the high-strength Ingimex shutter has no external cables, offering a smooth finish which is suitable for livery. There is a reinforced bottom plank to protect against movement of unsecured loads and a full height grab handle with integrated 360-degree rotating spot lamp. Plus, experience optimised vehicle handling thanks to the chassis package which offers uprated suspension, reinforced stabilisers and a heavy front axle.
Inside, the Crafter Luton Van is available with optional ergoComfort seats, which provide extra support to make longer journeys more comfortable. A wide range of storage solutions create a clutter-free interior, including sturdy cup holders, a large glove box, lower dashboard tray and storage in the doors. For extra comfort, the Crafter Luton is also available with a heated leather multi-function steering wheel.
The Crafter Luton is fitted with innovative technology, including the Composition Audio radio system which has a 5-inch display and comes with a USB and mobile phone interface. With two USB-C ports, Bluetooth and four speakers which deliver an output of 20 watts, the Composition Colour radio system can be accessed via its 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen colour display. Alternatively, choose the optional Discover Media satellite navigation system to stream services, listen to the radio and access other infotainment services.
With a range of driver assistance systems, the Crafter Luton helps to make your journeys safe and stress-free. Front Assist uses a radar sensor to detect when the vehicle in front is too close and City Emergency Braking automatically prepares the brakes when travelling up to 18 mph if a collision is likely to occur. Automatic Post-Collision Braking helps to prevent follow-on collisions, whilst Electromechanical Servotronic steering provides steering precision which was previously non-existent in commercial vehicles. Plus, the optional Lane Assist countersteers the vehicle if the driver unintentionally drifts from a lane and the Driver Alert System can register behaviour which indicates tiredness and recommends the driver to take a break.
