JAECOO 7 SHS-P World Record Holder

The JAECOO 7 SHS-P receives a world breaking record by Guiness World Records, covering 3 countries, 3 peaks, and 469.5 miles without stopping for a fuel break.

• The JAECOO 7 SHS-P has set a new world record as it took on the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge. This challenge covered 469.5 miles over 3 countries; Scotland, England and Wales.

The JAECOO 7 SHS-P covered various terrain including motorways, mountain passes and country lanes. It drove through the night, regardless of the weather.

It faced the rain in the highlands, sun in the lakes and high winds at Yr Wyddfa. Covering three countries with every kind of weather, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P became an official record holder.

For the record to count, JAECOO challenged TV presenter Ben Shephard to climb Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Yr Wyddfa back-to-back. Reaching all three summits while using the JAECOO 7 SHS-P between each peak, using as little fuel as possible, he made all three summits with the car covering 469.5 miles at 68.7 mpg.

The team behind the world record also included two record drivers sharing the wheel, and a mountain expert to help Ben get up and down all three peaks safely. Kevin Booker and Sam Clarke were the record drivers behind covering all 469.5 miles while Cai Jarvis, chief instructor of Lost Earth Adventures, assisted Ben with safely getting up and down all three peaks.

There were no modifications to the JAECOO 7 SHS-P. It was a standard production of the vehicle which took on the record breaking challenge. Both the fuel filler and charger port were sealed at the start and only opened at the finish, witnessed by the RAC. Additionally, GPS tracked every mile of the drive and climb with pictures taken from all three peaks. At the end, the Guiness World Records confirmed the result and awarded the JAECOO 7 SHS-P a world record.
