The South West Business Expo
Once a year, thousands of business people fill a huge venue on the outskirts of Exeter in Devon.
The South West Business Expo, were expecting +280 exhibitors to come along and welcome around 4,000 people in to see what it's all about. The show is now officially recognised as the largest business show outside of London and the 2nd largest in the UK.
It was the first time that we have exhibited at the Expo and we were all very excited to be there.
The planning and preparation was done, now for the main event. Car & van valeted and ready. Posters and flags ordered for the displays and branded pens, tote bags and sweet treats ordered for giveaways! Thanks to Adam at Purple https://www.promotionalmerchandise.co
For the stand, we selected the newest edition to the Citroen family the C5 Aircross SUV, with the trim level Flair Plus. Choosing a colour was easy, it had to be the Polar White with the Brown Nappa leather interior and the panoramic sunroof. The C5 Aircross SUV is ready to tackle the challenges of long or frequent journeys, with comfort, space and versatility all front of mind.
At the entrance of the Arena we displayed the multi-award-winning Berlingo Van.

We set up on Tuesday evening, ensuring that everything was in place for the next day. Using Annabel’s exhibitor’s checklist she advised us not to leave anything to chance on the Wednesday the morning of the show, excellent advice!
Once those doors were open, the attendees flooded in and we were busy from the off!
We were representing both our Yeomans Citroen business centres and we had in attendance John Hale from Exeter and James Gilliam from Plymouth along with Miles from the regional team and myself from Marketing.
A little quote from John "I had been looking forward to the Expo since Marie & I visited last year, having seen the variety of businesses that attended and all of the services they provide. This year did not disappoint, the amount of interest for both of the vehicles that we had exceeded all expectations, with several enquiries taken, not to mention that fantastic brand awareness this expo provided. The reaction to our display was so positive and we had
lots of interest in both the SUV and our business van.
It was wonderful to see some familiar faces from local businesses Esme from the Jockey Club, Joff and Rowena from Grow Media, David from Signs Express and from Bluegrass to name only a few.
After a jam-packed day full of meeting, greeting, listening and chatting to the business people in the room we were off to the After Show Party, kindly sponsored by Quick Liquids - the makers of Quick Gin. Well it would be rude not to ;-)
Thank you to the SW Business Expo team, and everyone involved for making it such a great event to be part of. Without doubt, we will be rebooking for 2020.
