Exterior Design

The New Volkswagen Golf retains its iconic look, that has made this model stand out from the crowd since its launch 50 years ago. With its sport inspired styling and bold design, the New Golf is certain to turn heads. At the front the new narrow headlights create sleek contours from the bonnet across the front of the Golf to the illuminated Volkswagen logo, seen for the first time on a Golf model. This model also features redesigned tail lights at the rear available with optional IQ. LIGHT LED matrix and dynamic turn signals, enhancing the style of this special model.

Interior Design

Technology

This model is also available with optional IDA online voice assistant, which allows you to operate the radio, telephone, your music, the optional three-zone air conditioning system and navigation unit by using your voice. Activated by saying "Hello IDA", it has the ability to offer extra functions including finding nearby restaurants and points of interests. With the ability to recognise whether it is the driver or passenger speaking, it can make the request specific to the person.

Performance

The New Golf is available in a choice of two engines, you can choose between the 1.5 litre TSI with 115PS or 1.5 litre engine with 150PS, both are equipped with the DSG dual clutch gearbox. There will also be the option of a mild hybrid technology engine too.

The Golf Style is also available as a plug-in hybrid, combining an electric motor and TSI petrol engine. When the battery is charged, the Golf eHybrid starts in electric-only mode, producing zero local carbon emissions, and has the capabilities to travel up to 107km (combined) using just the electric motor. Depending on the speed, driving mode and other factors, the TSI engine switches on automatically when required.
