1. STAY SAFE
Contact the emergency services using 999 in the event of injury. Once everyone is safe and if possible, turn on your hazard lights and display the vehicle's warning triangles to warn others on the road.

2. SWAP DETAILS
No matter the size of the incident, you must swap details with anyone involved. The police must also be informed in the instance of injuries, road blocks and if any parties involved refuse to give insurance details.

3. RECORD INFORMATION
When it comes to recalling the details of the accident, it helps to record as much relevant information as possible. Writing down what happened and taking photos is recommended.
