Yeomans Toyota is proud to sponsor the Brighton Half Marathon

For the third year running Yeomans Toyota will be the title sponsor for the wheelchair race, a truly inspirational part of the day.

On Sunday 1st March 2026, the Brighton Half Marathon will once again take over the city’s iconic seafront. A highlight of the day will be the Wheelchair Race, proudly sponsored by Yeomans Toyota for the third consecutive year. This partnership underscores Toyota’s commitment to inclusivity and its mission to make sport and mobility accessible to everyone.

Yeomans staff members will also take to the course, continuing a tradition they started last year. Running together as a team, they will be raising funds for a chosen cancer charity, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference both on and off the track.

The Wheelchair Race will feature an inspiring group of athletes, showcasing incredible determination and skill as they tackle the flat and fast course. Spectators lining the route are expected to create a vibrant and supportive atmosphere, cheering on participants as they demonstrate exceptional athleticism.

Toyota’s sponsorship of the Wheelchair Race aligns with its global "Start Your Impossible" initiative, which champions mobility for all and supports Paralympic athletes around the world. By supporting events like the Brighton Half Marathon, Toyota continues to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in sport.

The day promises to be a celebration of community, competition, and determination. As the Wheelchair Race unfolds, it will stand as a testament to the power of sport in bringing people together and Toyota’s dedication to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve their impossible.

Read on to hear from John Luck, Yeomans
Toyota CDA Manager, about why we are so keen to support this exceptional event.

How did you hear about the Brighton Half Marathon?
I was teased by my Director that I couldn’t run a half marathon and then he challenged me to run one! He suggested the BHM as this was a race he had participated in before, and thoroughly recommended it to me. I roped my sister into training with me, and we both decided to run for the Alzheimer’s charity as this was close to our hearts. I started training and never looked back!

Why is this event so important to you and Toyota Yeomans?
The race is in the heart of the community we operate in, and it is possible for anyone to take part, regardless of their abilities. The atmosphere is like nothing I have experienced before; there is a real sense of camaraderie amongst the participants and supporters, and Martin and Holly, who organise the event, have an infectious enthusiasm!

What made Toyota Yeomans decide to support the wheelchair race?
Toyota believe in providing mobility for everyone, and this race aligns with that ethos. The wheelchair races showcase the talents of people with disabilities, breaking down barriers and challenging stereotypes. Supporting these events helps build a more inclusive society where everyone has the chance to compete and be celebrated.

What are you looking forward to at the 2026 Brighton Half Marathon?
I am excited to be running the race with friends, colleagues, customers and for such a good cause. We will be sponsoring a local cancer charity that is very special to Yeomans, and we hope to raise lots of money between us for this fantastic cause. We will be supporting the event with a lead car, entertainment, competitions, water bottles, a hospitality pod and will be showcasing our fantastic range of Toyota vehicles. I have also challenged myself to get a Personal Best, so I will be ramping up my training plan sooner rather than later!
