What is the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme is here to offer you more independence. You can exchange your mobility allowance for a brand-new car powered through the scheme. Payments are taken directly from your allowance provider, giving you one less thing to worry about. As well as a new car, you'll also receive insurance cover, breakdown cover and servicing cover. Our specialist Motability team are on hand to help you find the perfect model for your needs, with a range of adaptations also available for even more confidence. What's more, you can add two named drivers to allow carers or family members to drive the car.

Am I eligible?

You could be eligible for the Motability Scheme if you’re receiving one of the following:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
• Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
• War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
