Signs that your brake pads need replacing:

- Are your brakes as responsive as they should be?

- Is your vehicle leaking an oily fluid?

- Is there a grinding sound when you break?

FRONT BRAKE PADS & DISCS

Why your front brake pads & discs need replacing:

When you apply your brakes, brake fluid is pushed around an enclosed system which brings the brake pads into contact with the brake disc, slowing you down.

Signs that your front brake pads & discs need replacing:

- Does the brake pedal feel soft or stiffer than usual?

- Does your car judder to a halt?

- Does your car steer to one side when you brake?

REAR BRAKE PADS

Why your rear brake pads need replacing:

Rear brakes have a lower hydraulic pressure and deliver less clamping force than front brakes, but its equally important they are kept in tiptop condition.

Signs that your rear brake pads need replacing:

- Do you hear odd scraping sounds from your rear brakes?

- Is your vehicle leaking an oily fluid?

- Do you feel a judder when slowing down?

REAR BRAKE PADS & DISCS

Why your rear brake pads & discs need replacing:

Rear brakes bring brake shoes into contact with the inner brake drum. Once released the shoes spring back into their original position, but they need to be perfectly aligned otherwise they can damage the drum.

Signs that your rear brake pads & discs need replacing:

- Does the brake pedal feel soft or stiffer than usual?

- Do you hear odd scraping sounds when you brake?

- Does your hand brake feel loose?

FRONT WIPER BLADES

Why your front wiper blades need replacing:

Even the simplest things can put your safety at risk or even cause you to fail your MOT. To ensure you always have a clear view always check your wipers and keep the water reservoir topped up with a good quality screenwash.

Signs that your front wiper blades need replacing:

- Are streaks and smears appearing on the windscreen?

- Are they noisier than normal or moving awkwardly?

- Are areas they wipe left untouched?

TIMING BELT

Why is the timing belt important:

The timing belt keeps the moving parts of your engine perfectly aligned and has to resist different stresses when the engine starts and stops. As a result it is normal for them to wear.

If it fails it can cause an accident and lead to expensive repairs, including replacing your engine.
