Peugeot 3-Cylinder Turbo PureTech Engine Wins International Engine of the Year Award in the 2015 Honours

We are extremely pleased to announced that our 3-cylinder Turbo PureTech engine has been awarded the International Engine of the Year for 2015 at the 17th annual International Engine Awards in Stuggart, Germany. The engine was named best in the 1.0-litre to 1.4-litre category.

The PureTech engine consists of 3-cylinders offering an impressive and exhilarating performance, low fuel consumption and improved CO2 emissions, the 1.2 PureTech engine gives you power and performance of a 1.6 engine but offers the efficiency of a smaller engine.

The PureTech engines are available across the Peugeot range from our 108 supermini to the stylish and practical 5008. Plus, some versions offer Turbo power, designed to optimise torque and power, providing maximum driving pleasure and responsiveness.

Commenting on the award, Christian Chapelle, Vice President Powertrain and Chassis Engineering, said: "With overall average emissions of 110.3 grams per kilometre, PSA leads the European market on the CO2 front.
