BENEFITS

ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE

The all-inclusive Motability Scheme package includes insurance cover for up to three drivers, all your service, MOT, and routine repair costs, plus breakdown cover through the RAC.

CHARGING SUPPORT

To assist those that may not already have a home charging point, you will receive a half-price Pod-Point 7kw Tethered Home Charger~ or a Solo 7kw Universal Home Charger~ when choosing the new 2025 Mazda CX-60 Plug-in Hybrid.

ADAPTATIONS

For those that require certain vehicle adaptations such as hand controls or wheelchair hoists, you can select these when ordering your Mazda and these will be pre-installed ready for when you collect your vehicle.

FAQs

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Anybody who receives a qualifying mobility allowance and has at least 12 months remaining can apply to join the Motability Scheme. If you do not currently receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can apply to the Department of Work and Pensions and, if successful, exchange this for a Motability Scheme vehicle.

HOW DO I ORDER AN MAZDA ON THE MOTABILITY SCHEME?

If you are eligible for the Motability Scheme, all you need to do is contact Yeomans Mazda Bexhill on 01424 863003 to arrange an appointment and book your test drives. Should you wish to order a vehicle, we will finish your application for you.


WHAT IS AN ADVANCE PAYMENT?

An Advance Payment is the upfront payment required for some of the larger or higher specification Mazda vehicles. It is paid in addition to your weekly mobility allowance. It covers the difference between the cost of your car and your allowance paid over the length of your agreement.


WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY MAZDA MOTABILITY SCHEME LEASE?

  • Insurance cover: The Motability Scheme will arrange insurance for your Mazda. You can add up to three named drivers.
  • Servicing and MOT: The Motability Scheme will cover your regular services and routine repairs, to keep your vehicle running perfectly.
  • Breakdown cover: The Motability Scheme will provide breakdown cover through RAC so you can travel with peace of mind.
  • Support with your electric car: The Motability Scheme will arrange and cover the cost of a home charger with standard installation, or give you access to the BP Pulse network of over 9,000 public chargepoints1.


HOW DOES THE MOTABILITY SCHEME WORK FOR NEW DRIVERS AND DRIVERS UNDER 25?

If eligible, you can apply for your provisional licence three months before your 16th birthday, it will be valid once you turn 16. Then you can learn to drive in your Motability Scheme vehicle. For those that qualify, the Motability Scheme can fund up to 40 hours of driving lessons.

Other drivers with a provisional licence need to be 21 or older. There can only be one learner driver on your Certificate of Motor Insurance at a time. You can only have one driver under 21 on your Certificate of Motor Insurance. Unless they’re the customer, drivers under 21 need to hold a full driving licence.

If you are under 25 there are a few restrictions on which vehicles you can drive:

  • For petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles; ABI Insurance Group rating must be 16 or lower and the power output must be 120 brake horsepower (bhp) or lower.
  • For electric cars; ABI Insurance Group rating must be 21 or lower and power output must be 140 bhp or lower.
