At Yeomans, we're committed to making a real difference in the South West community. "Powered by Yeomans" is more than just a phrase; it's our dedication to fostering positive change by actively supporting local charities and community organizations. We're proud to partner with 8 incredible groups, providing them with essential resources like electric Citroën vans, dedicated time, and practical support to amplify their vital work.

Our mission is simple: empower these organizations to do more of what matters. Whether it's delivering food parcels, transporting vital supplies, or facilitating crucial outreach programs, every initiative we support goes beyond just our vehicles. It's fuelled by our core values of trust, action, and community engagement. We believe in showing up, lending a hand, and creating a tangible, positive impact right where it's needed most.


PROJECT 35

An initiative launched by Plymouth Argyle Football Club in partnership with Ginsters and Argyle Community Trust. The name comes from the club's historic shirt number 35 representing the club’s deep connection with the Plymouth community and the PL35 postcode.

Key Aims of Project 35:

  • Combat Poverty & Inequality: Particularly food poverty and social exclusion across Plymouth and the wider region.
  • Support Local Communities: With a focus on vulnerable groups, families, and individuals through outreach, support services, and access to food.
  • Mobilise Volunteers: Through the Pledge 35 volunteer programme, where fans and community members commit to 35 hours of volunteering.

Activities and Initiatives Include:

  • Food parcel distributions
  • Community meals
  • Educational workshops
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Support through Argyle Community Trust's existing programmes

Saints Southwest: Developing Potential for All

Saints Southwest is a leading Football and Sports Development organisation that operates across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset, including extensive work in Torquay. They function as both a Ltd Company and a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), which means their primary goal is to benefit the community. They are also an official partner of Southampton Football Club, leveraging the appeal of professional football to engage young people.

Their core mission is to "develop potential for all" through a diverse range of programs focused on:

Education:

They provide high-quality PE and school sport provisions, including PPA cover, breakfast, lunchtime, and after-school clubs. Additionally, they offer Physical, Social, Health, and Economic Education (PSHE) programs, such as "Healthy Goals," which promote healthy lifestyles and overall well-being. Beyond school-based initiatives, they support Post-16 education through football and coaching qualifications, alongside work experience opportunities, traineeships, and apprenticeships—creating valuable pathways for young people into careers in sports and education.

Community Engagement:

They run a variety of community football sessions and multi-sport holiday camps, catering to children as young as 2 years old through programs like "Soccer Tots" and "Mini Soccer Saints." Beyond sports, they actively support their community by organizing events and delivering Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programs, offering essential support to families during school breaks. Additionally, their "Tackle Poverty Programme" makes a meaningful impact by collecting and distributing food, football boots, used sports kits, and equipment to those in need, ensuring greater access to sports and basic necessities

Football Development:

They provide a structured pathway for young footballers to progress from grassroots levels—through initiatives like "Saints Soccer Centres"—to more advanced training in "Development Centres" and "Academy Squads," available for both boys and girls. Their coaching philosophy goes beyond technical skills, focusing on developing game intelligence, physical attributes, and personal growth to nurture well-rounded individuals both on and off the pitch. Committed to talent development, they take pride in identifying potential and creating opportunities for players to maximize their abilities, including competitive experiences against professional academy teams

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA)

A vital independent charity providing advanced time-critical pre-hospital care to critically ill and injured patients across Devon.

Life-Saving Service

DAA operates two emergency helicopters and two critical care cars. These highly skilled medical teams, consisting of paramedics and doctors, deliver urgent, enhanced care at the scene of an incident, often in remote or difficult-to-access locations, before transporting patients to the most appropriate hospital.

24/7 (Extended) Coverage: Their helicopters fly for ten hours a day, seven days a week, and from late autumn 2016, their Exeter-based helicopter extended operations into the hours of darkness, up to midnight, using a network of community night-landing sites. Their critical care cars ensure they can respond even when helicopters can't fly due to weather or other conditions.

Independent Charity: Devon Air Ambulance receives no government funding. They rely entirely on the generosity of the public, businesses, and income from their charity shops and lottery to cover their significant annual running costs (over £10 million per year).

Impact: By significantly reducing the time it takes for patients to receive specialist medical care and reach hospital, DAA dramatically improves outcomes for those facing life-threatening injuries or illnesses. They attend thousands of missions annually, making a profound





Paignton Zoo Environmental Park

A renowned zoo and botanical garden located in Paignton, Devon. Paignton Zoo is part of the Wild Planet Trust, a registered education, scientific, and conservation charity.

Established in 1923, the zoo spans 80 acres and is home to over 2,000 animals from various species, as well as thousands of amazing plants. Beyond being a popular visitor attraction, Paignton Zoo has a critical mission centered on wildlife conservation, scientific research, and education.

Their work involves:

  • Providing safe havens for threatened species through meticulously designed habitats and participation in international breeding programmes for endangered animals.
  • Conducting vital research to advance animal welfare and conservation science, often in collaboration with universities.
  • Educating and inspiring visitors of all ages about biodiversity, the challenges facing wildlife, and how everyone can contribute to a more sustainable world.
  • Engaging in field projects globally and locally to protect sustainable habitats and halt species decline.


Rowcroft Hospice

An independent charity based in Torquay, Devon, that provides specialist palliative care and support to adults living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon. For over 40 years, they have been dedicated to helping patients and their loved ones make the most of every moment during what can be the hardest days imaginable.


What makes Rowcroft Hospice so vital?

Comprehensive Care

Rowcroft offers a wide range of services, including expert medical care for symptom management, advice and support for independent living, and complementary therapies like music therapy and reflexology. They provide care both in their 12-bed Inpatient Unit in Torquay and, for the majority of their patients, in the comfort of their own homes through their community and Hospice at Home teams.

Free Services

All of Rowcroft's care is offered free of charge to eligible adults, regardless of their diagnosis or circumstances. This is made possible largely through fundraising and charitable donations, as only about a quarter of their annual funding comes from the NHS.

Focus on Quality of Life

Their core mission is to help patients develop personalized care plans that reflect their needs and wishes, ensuring they can share precious moments with loved ones and make each day the best day possible.

Support for Families

Beyond patient care, Rowcroft provides crucial support for bereaved relatives through listening services and other resources, helping families navigate their grief.

Community Impact

Rowcroft serves a wide area of South Devon, including the South Hams, Teignbridge, Torbay, and West Devon. They are a significant part of the local healthcare landscape, with their care being described as "outstanding" by the Care Quality Commission. They also provide training in palliative and end-of-life care to local health and social care professionals.

A non-profit organization primarily focused on enhancing family wellbeing, mental health, and community cohesion in areas like Okehampton and wider West Devon. They work to address local needs by providing accessible and inclusive support.

Pompey in the Community (PiTC)

An award-winning charity that is the charitable arm of Portsmouth Football Club. They leverage the motivational power of Portsmouth FC to promote education, healthy living, sporting participation, and achievement among vulnerable and disadvantaged people of all ages in the South West.

Their work is vital to the local community, and they offer an innovative range of programs focusing on:

Education: They run various educational programs and workshops, including those at the Pompey Study Centre, which provides a unique learning environment. They offer BTEC diploma and degree courses, as well as sessions for primary schools.

Healthy Living: PiTC promotes healthy lifestyles through their programs.

Sporting Participation: They provide opportunities for people of all ages to engage in sports, particularly football, through various coaching sessions and holiday activities. This includes inclusive programs like "Bluesability Adult Disability" and providing access to cycling.

Community Support: They are actively involved in the community, for example, by distributing food bank donations and offering places on Holiday Activity and Food programs for children on free school meals. They also have programs addressing loneliness and supporting mental well-being, as well as employability and SEND provision.

PiTC aims to make a real impact on people's lives by using football as a tool for positive change. They are widely recognized for their imaginative and effective programs.

​Greendale Farm Shop

An award-winning, family-run business located in the heart of the East Devon countryside, between Exeter and Sidmouth. 

They are renowned for providing high-quality, fresh, and often locally sourced food, adhering to a "farm to plate" philosophy.



Own Farm and Fishing Fleet: They raise their own livestock (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) on their surrounding farmland, and uniquely, own a fleet of fishing vessels that bring in fresh, sustainable seafood daily to their on-site fishmonger.

Comprehensive Offerings: Beyond the butcher and fishmonger, the farm shop boasts a bakery making fresh bread, a deli, a fruit and vegetable section (prioritizing local produce), and a wide range of local artisan products.
