Reserve online at Yeomans

Reserving your next car couldn’t be easier with Yeomans – it can all be done from the comfort of your own home. We’ll outline the basics of the process here, but if you have any further questions you can scroll to read our frequently asked questions answered, too. If we don't address your query, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

The first step involves searching through our extensive stock of new and used vehicles. Once you’ve found the vehicle you’d like to buy, you can place a reservation fee to secure it. We’ll check the car is still available and send you a confirmation email.

This sets the ball rolling towards your new vehicle, which is being held for you for the next 48 hours. We’ll endeavour to get in touch with you within two hours of the reservation being confirmed at the details you’ve provided to organise collection or delivery.

As part of the process, you can either pay the full amount for the vehicle up front, or organise finance through one of our approved partners. Don’t worry if you’re declined by our preferred partner, we work with various lenders to help customers with varying credit scores. You can also check whether you might be accepted without affecting your credit score through our free credit checker.

Once everything is confirmed, our team will be in touch to iron out any other details, such as if you’re part-exchanging a vehicle, and it’s as simple as that!

Ordering my car online

Who do I speak to about reserving a car online?

You can speak to a member of the sales team at the relevant Yeomans dealership, they will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

How does online vehicle reservation work?

Great news – you’ve decided to reserve a car online! The process starts with you paying a £99 reservation fee, where you’ll be asked to enter your personal details, address and payment card information. Once you click “submit payment”, the fee will be debited from the account associated with that card immediately.

If you want to finance some or all of the balance you will also be asked to provide the relevant additional information that we will require to process the application.
If you have a part exchange you can get an instant valuation and include it as part of the purchase.

Once you’ve submitted your £99 deposit payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email. However, this does not mean your reservation has been accepted – all reservations are subject to confirmation by us, once we’ve checked the vehicle is still available.

Once we confirm the reservation has been accepted, you will receive a “Reservation Confirmation” email. This reserves the vehicle for 48 hours, and we’ll be in touch to discuss what’s needed next to complete the purchase.

If you change your mind you can request a refund of your reservation fee by contacting us. You will need to provide written confirmation of this for our records, and the fee will be refunded back to the card that the payment was originally made from within 7 days.

How long is my car reserved for?

After making your reservation we will hold the car for 48 hours while we arrange the finance or payment of the balance and agree a date for you to collect the car from the selling dealership at the earliest opportunity. We will try to contact you through the phone number and email address that you have provided at the earliest opportunity once you have placed your reservation to arrange this, although this will only be during normal working hours.

Is the price online the same in-store?

Yes, all prices advertised online are the same as those you get at the dealership.

Who do I speak to about financing my vehicle?

If you want to finance the vehicle you should have already provided us with the details that we need to process this as part of the online reservation. We’re happy to field any questions you might have about financing your vehicle purchase – just give us a call.

How do I find out my finance settlement figure?

To obtain a settlement figure on your current vehicle you should call the finance provider. Alternatively we will be happy to obtain this for you.

Can I pay the full amount in cash?

Of course, you don’t have to finance the vehicle - just let us know how you wish to pay.

Are there other costs on top of the advertised price?

There are no additional charges unless you have requested additional options at the point of reservation. These will be clearly listed before you make your purchase and are added to the total cost so there are no surprises later.

Can you transfer a personalised plate for me?

We do offer this service for a fee.

Buying my car on finance

Who is the finance agreement with?

Yeomans use a panel of approved lenders. Should you be declined by the primary lender we will notify you of the opportunities to fund your vehicle through alternative partners.

How long does processing my finance application take?

The finance application is processed immediately and the decision usually takes a matter of minutes. We will inform you if your application is successful at the earliest opportunity. If your finance application is unsuccessful a member of the Yeomans team will be in touch to discuss further options.

In some cases, our chosen lender may ask you to complete additional checks before agreeing to the finance agreement. This could include (but not be limited to) identity checks, confirmation of personal details such as date of birth or address, and evidence of affordability. If this happens, we’ll let you know what’s required. Once you meet the requirements, we will be able to proceed with your finance agreement.

Am I eligible for credit?

Credit eligibility is different for everyone, and depends on several factors such as your age, employment status, financial situation and affordability. After submitting your proposal, the lender will inform us whether they need any further supporting documentation. If they decline, we’ll also be in touch to discuss your options with other lenders.

To apply for finance you must be over 18 and acceptance is subject to status. A guarantee may be required in some cases.

What different types of finance are available?

There are two types of finance available: personal contract purchase (PCP) and hire purchase (HP).

Hire purchase

With hire purchase, you pay an initial deposit followed by fixed monthly payments that pay off the remainder of the vehicle’s value. The terms are usually across one to five years, and the finance company owns the vehicle until you make the final payment.

If you settle early, you will be offered a rebate of some of the interest. However, with a small initial deposit, you might find that settling early results in the amount owed being more than the value of the vehicle.

This is better-suited to buyers that want to keep their vehicles for a long time, have a large deposit, or simply want no commitment at the end of the term.

Personal contract purchase

In principle, PCP is very similar to HP, in that there’s an initial deposit followed by monthly payments. However, you’re effectively paying for the depreciation on the vehicle rather than the full price. Therefore, at the end of the term, there will be a large payment of what the car is now worth, often called a Guaranteed Manufacturer’s Future Value or balloon payment.

That means the monthly payments and deposit are often much lower than with HP. The vehicle will be guaranteed to be worth a certain price at the end of the term, assuming it is kept in good condition and you haven’t gone over the agreed annual mileage limit.

There are three options at the end of the term:

Firstly, you can make the final payment by giving the vehicle back to the finance company.

Secondly, you can keep the vehicle by paying the large payment.

And finally, if the vehicle is worth more than the pre-agreed value, you could hand it back and use the excess value as part-exchange against a new vehicle.

PCP finance is suitable for buyers who would like a new vehicle regularly, but the downside is that if you like your car you might feel forced into switching every two or three years to avoid paying the final amount. Another advantage, though, is that the lower payments open up more expensive vehicles to you.

Will a hard search be registered on my credit file?

Yes, when you apply for finance online, our finance company will perform a hard credit search against your details to decide whether they are willing to lend you the amount required to buy your car.

What if my credit history is bad?

By working with various flexible lenders, we’re able to fund customers with varying credit situations. In most situations, we can find a lender that works for the customer’s personal circumstances. Should you be declined by any of our lenders, we’ll let you know and ask if you’d like us to speak to an alternative.

Making changes to my order

I would like to amend or cancel my order

You can read the terms and conditions around amending or cancelling your order here. However, before you cancel, we’d like to try and help you, so please contact us to discuss this further.

If you’d like to make an amendment, speak to a member of the Yeomans team and they will be happy to accommodate any changes you might wish to make.

What do I do if I don’t like the car and have changed my mind?

You can cancel your online order any time before collection if you change your mind. Please call us and follow this up by sending a clear written statement of your intent to the selling dealership. The team will be in touch to process your cancellation.

Can I cancel my car finance but still buy the vehicle via an alternative method?

The cooling off period of 14 days, known as your Right to Withdraw, gives you the option to cancel the finance agreement but retain ownership of the vehicle provided you pay the balance, as confirmed by the lender, within 30 days of withdrawing from the agreement.

You might also be liable for further fees.

Part-exchanging my current vehicle

Can I use my part-exchange as my deposit for my car purchase?

Yes, you can part-exchange a vehicle and use its value as all or part of your deposit towards a car purchase. However, you’ll have to settle any outstanding finance as part of the transaction, with any amount that’s left over after the settlement used towards your deposit.

How can I find out how much my car is worth?

We will have provided a valuation for your part exchange when you reserved your new car online. Alternatively you can contact us and to give us details of your vehicle such as the make and model, mileage and condition, and we will give you a valuation. Provided the details are accurate you can use that money towards your deposit.

What if the car I’m part-exchanging is worth more than the car I’m buying?

If this is the case, and there’s no outstanding finance on the part-exchanged vehicle, we will pay you the difference once you take delivery of your new vehicle.

What if the car I’m part-exchanging is worth more than the maximum deposit allowed on a PCP deal?

If this is the case, you are entitled to cash back on your purchase. We are happy to pay what’s left of the value after the deposit has been paid, which will be arranged with you after purchase.

Can I remove the part exchange from my order?

Yes, you can remove the vehicle to be exchanged at any time before your new vehicle is handed over, but you will have to allow for price changes to your quote if your part exchange was being used towards your deposit.

Can I part exchange two vehicles as part of my order?

Yes, if you own both vehicles or have the permission of the owner.

What documents are required to part exchange a vehicle?

You will have to hand over the part exchange vehicle when you collect your new vehicle. You must also have the logbook (V5), service history, MOT certificate (if necessary), and all keys. If we require anything else, we will let you know before the exchange.

Collecting my new vehicle

Can I change when my vehicle is collected after the order is placed?

Yes, you can change your delivery or collection day by speaking to the person dealing with your order at the dealership.

Warranties on my new vehicle

What warranty will I get?

You will get a 12 month warranty from Yeomans free of charge, or the remainder of the manufacturer warranty, whichever is longer.

Security of my transaction

Is the online deposit process secure?

We use a secure, verified payment provider that uses data encryption software to ensure your card payment details remain secure. We do not store your card details.

Raising a complaint

What do I do if an issue with the car arises after delivery?

If you have an issue with the vehicle after delivery, contact Yeomans directly and we will do our best to resolve your issue.

How do I make a complaint?

We work hard to ensure our customers receive excellent customer service. However, we accept that sometimes we get it wrong and that we need those issues brought to our attention. When this happens, we will try to resolve them as quickly as possible. In the first instance we would recommend that you contact the selling dealership and ask for the General Manager.

Although we will give our all to help our customers where possible, if you are still not satisfied with what’s happened and the explanation we have provided, we recommend you contact The Motor Ombudsman, the automotive dispute resolution body.

It is a fully impartial ombudsman focused solely on the automotive industry, ensuring self regulation through a Codes of Practice approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. You can contact them at or through the advice line at 0345 241 3008* (option 1). Their decision is legally binding on both Yeomans and you as the customer.

You can also refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service at, or use the EU’s independent dispute resolution body at
