The Volkswagen Golf 8 has a clean design, with narrow LED headlights and a lean front grille. The bumper now sits lower to the ground, allowing a more responsive performance. As standard, the Golf 8 has LED headlights with integrated fog lights, whilst optional IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED lights are available to detect any oncoming traffic. As standard, the Golf 8 has 16” Norfolk alloy wheels, giving it a strong road presence.
Inside, the Golf 8 has a premium interior with an adjustable driver’s seat and Innovision Cockpit with a refined design. The optional ambient lighting package is available, allowing you to illuminate the cabin through a selection of 32 colours. The dash and front door panels are lined with ‘Silver Silk’ decorative inserts, creating a high-quality feel. The interior is packed with plenty of impressive technology features, including the Digital Cockpit, Head-Up Display and intuitive voice control.
The Golf 8 features Volkswagen’s most advanced connectivity, with features including Car2X which provides up-to-date traffic information by communicating with other Car2X enabled vehicles on the road. The Digital Cockpit displays all of your settings on the Discover system’s 10-inch screen, allowing you to easily adjust your driving position, air conditioning, radio, navigation and Driver Assistance systems. By setting up your Volkswagen ID, your Golf 8 will be able to remember all of your preferences. Using the Head-Up Display, your speedometer and Adapted Cruise Control information is projected straight onto the windshield so you can keep your eyes on the road.
With plenty of driver assistance systems, you can travel with ease. Adaptive Cruise Control and Park Assist tells you if a space is large enough to fit into and then parks for you, whilst Travel Assist keeps you in your lane and automates accelerating and braking to make driving in heavy traffic even easier. Choose between three settings with optional Dynamic Cruise Control: Comfort for a smooth journey, Sport for a more responsive drive and Eco which saves on fuel. The Golf 8 is Volkswagen’s first model to feature an e-TSI engine with mild-hybrid technology, which uses a lithium-ion battery to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
