Changes To The EV Buying Process

There have been changes to the buying process when you purchase an EV Škoda, and we want to make you aware of the changes.

Customers will now buy Škoda EVs directly from Škoda UK, meaning the price you see on the Škoda website will also be the same price you see on any retailer website. Although you will now be buying your EV vehicle directly from Škoda UK, at Yeomans we are still here to guide you through the process and offer our specialist knowledge and advice, along with delivering expert servicing and maintenance.

Buying from Škoda UK

Will I be able to test drive a vehicle?

Yes. Škoda UK will allow retailers to offer, on Škoda’s behalf, a suitable line‐up of demonstrator vehicles across the range. Your ability to test drive is not affected by the move to this new sales model.

Can I still part-exchange my existing vehicle when purchasing a Škoda?

Yes you can, however there are some changes to the process. Yeomans may agree to purchase your current vehicle under an entirely separate contract between you and Yeomans. Škoda will not, under any circumstances, be a party to any such separate contract entered into with Yeomans in relation to the purchase of your current vehicle.

If you are funding the vehicle yourself, you may wish to use all (or some) of the proceeds from the sale of your current vehicle to Yeomans as a cash contribution amount towards the price of the new vehicle. In these circumstances, any proceeds of sale being used as a cash contribution amount towards the price of the new vehicle will be retained by Yeomans on Škoda’s behalf and paid to Škoda direct.

If you are taking out a finance product for the vehicle, you may wish to use all (or some) of the proceeds from the sale of your current vehicle as a cash contribution amount towards the price of the new vehicle. In these circumstances, any proceeds of sale being used as a cash contribution amount towards the price of the new vehicle will be retained and paid to Škoda on behalf of the relevant finance provider. This cash contribution amount will be taken into account for the purposes of determining the finance amount under the separate finance agreement with the finance provider.

Notwithstanding any changes to the part exchange valuation, all customers remain fully liable for any cash contribution amount they are required to pay in relation to the new vehicle.

Can I still part-exchange my existing vehicle when purchasing a Škoda?
Your order confirmation email should arrive within 10 working days. If your email hasn't arrived, please speak to Yeomans (who will be acting on our behalf as our Agent when processing electric vehicle orders) . They can check your email address has been entered into the system correctly and follow-up with Škoda UK to confirm the status.



Delivery & Servicing

Will the vehicle be delivered to my home?
Škoda UK will deliver the vehicle to your chosen Yeomans Škoda dealership for handover to the customer. Any requirements for home delivery should be discussed directly with Yeomans. If possible, any delivery service will be provided under a separate contractual arrangement between the Škoda and you (to which Škoda will not be a party).

Will my vehicle be delivered any quicker when I buy directly from Škoda?
No, there are no physical changes to the way we build and deliver our cars into our network.

Where do I service my vehicle if I buy directly from Škoda?
You can service your Škoda at Yeomans. The availability of services may change from time to time so we advise that you contact us.

Finance

How do I know I'm getting the best price?
The benefit of this new sales model means the price is consistent across all Škoda Retailers. Škoda UK will invoice all customers at a consistent national price regardless of geographical location. We may of course continue to run promotions or provide discounts, for example to volume or key purchasers such as the NHS and other similar customers, but this will be consistent across all Škoda Retailers.

Can I negotiate the price of the Škoda I wish to purchase?
No, the Agency model means that Škoda UK will provide consistent national pricing through all Škoda Retailers; the Škoda Retailers will not be able to negotiate the price with you. From time to time Škoda UK may provide national offers. These would be consistently available across all Škoda Retailers.

The Škoda Retailer may however offer the Customer their own funding, benefits or incentives to facilitate a sale. These are provided under a separate contractual arrangement between the Škoda Retailer (or relevant third party supplier) and you. If you are obtaining these, this will be made clear to you before you sign the order form.

Will I get the same price online and offline?
It is currently not possible to purchase a Škoda Enyaq directly from Škoda UK online.

What happens if my finance or funding falls through?
Don’t worry, your order is still confirmed. Contact Yeomans to discuss alternative funding and we will assist you. If you change your mind, you can also cancel your order directly with Yeomans (please see your order terms and conditions which will set out the consequences of terminating your order in these circumstances).
