Citroën celebrates 100 years of automotive innovation

This year, Citroën celebrates 100 years of automotive manufacture, innovation and creation. With a series of events taking place across the globe, the brand is celebrating in style – and Citroën owners are invited to the party.

From May, the ‘From Generation to Generation’ digital animation will be showcased on social networks, paying tribute to families, businesses and dealers that have been supporting the marque since its inception. Don’t miss the chance to view it on your preferred platform!

This summer, from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June, Coombe Park in Warwickshire is hosting the largest and most diverse gathering of Citroëns since 2012. The programme includes live entertainment, trade stands, an autojumble and a range of catering and bars serving snacks and refreshments. Tickets start from £20 and can be purchased here.

There are also special editions of the C1, C3, C3 Aircross and C4 Cactus now available, which celebrate the manufacturer’s centenary. Named the ‘Origins’ Collector’s Editions, they feature bronze coloured graphics and ‘Origins since 1919’ branding, as well as technical upgrades including automatic air conditioning, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and more.

Founded in 1919 by André Citroën, the company has produced over 300 models in the past 100 years. It’s first offering, the Type A, reached a top speed of 40mph, and within a year 10,000 models had been sold. Since then, the brand has captured the imagination of millions with models such as its iconic 2CV, its motorsport success and – most recently – its extensive new car lineup, which continues to boast unique, playful styling and exceptional engineering.
