Production Begins On The All-New Toyota C-HR​

Toyota has confirmed that is has begun production of the all-new Toyota C-HR, as well as its first European battery assembly operation.

The all-new Toyota C-HR has been developed and designed in Europe to help meet the needs and preferences of European customers. The model will be offered in the UK with three electrified powertrains: 1.8 and 2.0-litre hybrid electric (HEV) models available to order now, and a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) version, which will be available from spring 2024.

Meanwhile, Toyota has invested around £266.5 million into its manufacturing plant in Sakarya, Turkey, as the facility becomes the first European centre for plug-in hybrid vehicle production. The new line has the capacity to assemble 75,000 battery units annually. This investment helps Toyota on their way to achieving their aim of carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040, with carbon neutral factories by 2030.

The new Toyota C-HR Hybrid will be priced from £31,290 and it set to go on sale in January. The entry level Icon trim features 17" alloy wheels, keyless entry, 8" central infotainment touchscreen, electric folding door mirrors and a power-operated tailgate. An optional Safety Pack offers drivers increased assistance in the form of Adaptive High-beam System, driver monitor camera, Lane Change Assist, Panoramic View Monitor and Front Cross Traffic Alert.

Design, Excel, GR Sport and limited edition Premiere Edition trims will also be available, featuring enhanced equipment and design features.
