8. Eastbourne Pier

We do love a good pier! Eastbourne Pier is one of the most liveliest piers in the country. On the boards you will find a chippy, the gorgeous Ocean Suite, the cool 1901 Jazz rooms and if you fancy a boogie you can visit the Atlantis Nightclub.

Walking up the pier you can pull up a deck chair and take in the stunning views of the Eastbourne seafront.

We really do love this place and you can't help but feel like you're on a quintessentially British holiday when you're here.

7. Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park

How cute is this?

If you're sick of all the rail strikes on the mainline, take a trip on Eastbourne's mini-line at Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park. The railway is mapped around the park's gorgeous 5 acre lake which is abundant with wildlife and a great see for nature addicts.

You can also relax in their prize winning gardens, get lost in their maze or the kids can go wild at their adventure park.

The reviews on TripAdvisor speak for themselves and the best thing is children under three go FREE!

6. Princes Park

If you want to take a break from the seafront and fancy a stroll around a good old fashioned park, then Princes Park is for you!

The park's main feature is its man made lake that is a hotspot for model yacht and powerboat enthusiasts.

There is also a playground for the kids, a bowls club and an "aromatic herb garden".

Plus it's very pretty.

2. Fort Fun

Fort Fun does what it says on the tin!

The perfect day out with the kids, it has everything a parent could ask for to tire out those little ones. The kids can spend hours in the soft play centre or if it's a hot day they can cool down in the waterpark.

Plus they have a bouncy castle... we are partial to a bouncy castle.

1. Drusillas Park

How could we possibly miss Drusillas Park?

One of the countries best small zoos, Drusillas Park is a fun day out for all the family. Not only are there animals galore, you can catch a safari train, pan for gold or let the kids go wild at one of their many play frames.
