New Honda Civic Hybrid
It’s no secret that eco friendly cars are very clever, incredibly fuel efficient, better for the environment and a lot better for your bank balance. But aren’t they supposed to look funny and drive a little weird?
Not any more.
At Honda we’ve been developing hybrid technology for years. So it’s no surprise the new Civic Hybrid, powered by IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) is setting a benchmark. It delivers the same dynamic styling of the new Civic range, along with its smooth, powerful drive. And inside you'll find cutting edge technology alongside excellent quality, comfort and refinement.
In looks, feel and performance the new Civic Hybrid is just like a conventional car. In fact, you could say it’s everything you thought a hybrid couldn’t be. The trade-off with cars has always been one of power and economy. Large engines produce more power and accelerate faster. But they burn more fuel.
The Civic Hybrid system delivers the same level of performance but from a much smaller engine. This allowed us to design a lightweight body with efficient aerodynamics. So it achieves the performance of a saloon with a much sportier nature and still manages to cut your fuel consumption and lower emissions.
Even the 15" alloy wheels are specifically designed to push aerodynamics to a new level. Something more in common with supercars than hybrids. All this innovation hasn’t been at the expense of comfort and style. Every new Civic Hybrid has climate control, premium audio with 6 CD in-dash multi-changer, heated front seats and door mirrors as standard.
Detailing is of a high level, including metallic finishes to the gear shift, handbrake and door handles.
In looks, as well as innovation, the new Civic Hybrid carries no compromises. Honda's Hybrid also gets a facelift this autumn, with cosmetic changes that further improve the overall appearance of the car. A sportier new front bumper creates a more aggressive appearance and now incorporates the fog lights.
The headlights have also been tweaked with a smoke chrome surround, complemented by a redesigned grille that resembles the Civic and new Accord more closely. The existing alloys have been replaced with newly-designed 5-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, while the rear lamps have a new colour treatment.
Nine paint colours are now available, including four new metallic paint colours – Crystal Black, Polished Metal, Premium White and Urban Titanium.
Inside, the seats don a new, premium fabric design and the indicators are now ‘one-touch’ for easy lane changing. The boot can also be opened remotely using the key fob.The Civic Hybrid retains its petrol-electric drive train, which achieves CO2 emissions of 109g/km and exceptional urban fuel efficiency.
Like its predecessor, the new Civic Hybrid will have an eight year warranty on the vehicle’s battery pack and Honda will recycle any old batteries through its dealer network.
The new Civic Hybrid is available to order now at Yeomans Honda priced from £17,145.00
