2012 Civic
The 2012 Honda Civic has been unveiled and there are a number of different features that catch your eye on the exterior, but the most impressive features are the ones you can’t see. Honda felt the need to address the Civics’ dynamics and make them even better. So they have added a new Torsion beam suspension with fluid-filled compliance bushes. This allows the new 2012 Civic to boast more boot space and a firmer and sportier ride.
From the outside, you can clearly see a number of new design features. At first you see the new pointed black nose, supporting the Honda badge and grille and connecting to the sharp sweeping headlights leading up the bonnet. A lower profile front bumper gives a sportier look, and a new matte black roof helps to arch the two-tone colour scheme over the car to the rear, where you will find a new take on the Civics’ innovative taillights. The rear spoiler couldn’t be removed without compromising performance, so the newly designed rear taillights have been blended into a shape which doubles them up as discreet rear spoiler. A perfect balance of inventive design and practicality.
The interior of the Civic has been specifically designed around the driver to make sure that everything is easy to find and ergonomically placed. The smooth premium leather steering wheel is perfectly placed in front of the i-MID information display, to give you the perfect display of your speed and minimising the amount of time your eyes are off the road.
The new 2012 Civic will be available in the UK from January 2012 with a range of i-VTEC petrol and i-DTEC diesel engines, including the 1.8-litre i-VTEC, which gives a blend of athletic performance and remarkable fuel efficiency whilst being quiet and clean to the environment too.
