Bursting with chic Italian styling, the new Fiat 500 brings a contemporary twist to the retro design of the iconic city car. It looks as fresh today as the original did when it was launched as the Cinquecento 60 years ago.
Chrome bars flanked by circular retro lights sit above the neat black grille, while the vintage Fiat logo is featured at both the front and the rear. Chrome is also featured on the door handles, tailgate handle and the door mirror covers. The line along the centre of the bonnet echoes the detailing of the original Cinquecento. Gorgeous colours to choose from including the Tech House Grey.
The cabin features a colourful gloss dashboard to complement the exterior body paint, with retro styling on the instrument panel. Available exclusively in a two-door edition, the Fiat 500 can accommodate four people in comfort. Add the optional glass roof to make the cabin even brighter. Air conditioning is fitted on both the S and Lounge editions, which also feature leather trimmed steering wheels with audio controls. Front seats have a memory function for added comfort and convenience, and the driver’s seat is height adjustable.
You have a choice of petrol or diesel engines in the Fiat 500. A 1.2-litre petrol engine gives a top speed of 99mph. It is available with a choice of a five-speed manual or five-speed Dualogic transmission. The Dualogic edition features a clutchless gearbox, with computer-aided gear changes for enhanced fuel efficiency and performance. Fuel economy averages 60.1mpg on a combined cycle, while CO2 emissions are 110g/km. The 1.3 MultiJet diesel engine gives fuel consumption of 83mpg and emits CO2 at just 89g/km. Start/stop technology improves fuel efficiency and minimises emissions.
The Fiat 500 is fitted with a five-inch touchscreen. An optional Tech Pack is available, which includes a seven-inch TFT instrument cluster, and a radio with seven-inch touchscreen and ApplePlay and Android Auto functionality. ApplePlay allows you to control Tom Tom navigation with 3D maps, including information services, weather and assistance when locating service stations and car parks.
Hill-holder technology applies braking to prevent the car from rolling backwards on an incline. Cruise control and speed limiter are also provided, helping to make your journeys less demanding. Rear sensors make parking easier, while LED daytime running lights ensure you have optimal visibility.
