With an aggressive and purposeful front end, characterised by a prominent grille and slim, angular headlamps, it exudes self-assurance, and the sculpted bonnet and wide wheel arches lend a muscular feel that hints at its strength on any terrain. The bright blue LED light, positioned at the top of the windscreen, leaves you in no doubt this is a vehicle with electric capability, and gives you access to otherwise restricted zones. Elegance is added to the design through the gently sweeping roofline, and unique taillights and striking 19-inch alloy wheels finish the look to perfection.

03 Interior Step inside and you’ll find a familiar yet enchanting environment. The cabin is based on that of the classic DS 7 CROSSBACK, boasting high-quality construction and fitted with textured surfaces, coloured trim and soft upholstery on the supportive seats. An infotainment system which can be controlled with the MyDS App takes pride of place on the central console, giving you intuitive access to audio, communication and navigation functions, while handy stowage spaces help keep your drinks and devices secure on the move. There’s plenty of space for occupants too; the position of the batteries and motors hasn’t compromised on interior and boot room, meaning you benefit from the same generous 555 litres that are available in the conventional DS 7 CROSSBACK. 04 PUSH THE LIMITS WITH OUR TECHNOLOGY Performance can be taken to the limits in the new DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE. Helping to extend your range by up to 20% is regenerative braking technology, which converts kinetic energy – that would otherwise be lost during deceleration – into electricity and stores it in the batteries. When it’s time to speed up again, the energy is used to power your vehicle. Your drive is also enhanced by four modes. The 100% ELECTRIC mode is ideal for urban motoring, delivering a range of 36 miles without utilising the petrol engine. HYBRID, meanwhile, switches between the two to provide optimal performance in town and on the open road. Choose SPORT mode to combine both petrol and electric power for the ultimate on-road experience, or select 4x4 mode for help conquering difficult terrain or challenging weather conditions. Finally, there’s the E-SAVE function, which stores electrical energy in the batteries ready for use later. This is ideal for entering restricted traffic zones that are reserved for clean vehicles.
